HAYWIRE

'Haywire' comes from a reflection and my own take on this performance surrounding your self and the personas we create. The work delves into the theoretical space of how we interact and adapt to different environments and how who we are is in no way fixed but a constantly changing and evolving process. It had initially been built upon more the personas interacting with one another but has now transitioned through my own personal experience of internal looking at the existential idea of thinking you are an imposter shattering your own reality of who you are. This has then been built into a improvised dialogue between two characterised aspects, the 'real' self and the 'idealised' self and how they communicate with one another in this broken reality trying to reconstruct and reconcile with coming to terms with who you are.

'The answer primarily lies in the use of the mask to represent what is alien and then to invoke a recognisable character'  Peter. W . Mieneck
